From Early Growth to Structured Seven-Figure Scale

Client Profile
Link3 Recruitment is an award-winning education recruitment agency operating across the East Midlands. At the time of engagement, the business had been trading just over a year and had already reached six-figure turnover.

Challenge

Despite early commercial success, the organisation lacked structural alignment.

• No shared long-term vision across the three Co-Founders
• Minimal documented systems or operational processes
• Increasing workload without formalised structure
• A proposed mobile app initiative without validated market demand

The business was growing, but without strategic coherence or operational infrastructure to support sustained scale.

Intervention

The engagement began with a structured Vision:20 strategic session to align leadership around a defined three-year organisational direction. Clear priorities, role accountability and a 12-month execution roadmap were established.

Market research and client persona development were conducted to assess commercial opportunities. This process revealed that the proposed mobile application did not align with validated market demand. The initiative was discontinued, and strategic focus was redirected toward targeted marketing and growth initiatives.

A comprehensive operational architecture review followed, culminating in the development of a detailed company operations manual. Core processes were mapped, documented and aligned across the organisation, providing full visibility of workflow, accountability and delivery standards.

Structural Changes Implemented

• Shared three-year strategic vision
• Defined annual growth objectives
• Validated market positioning and refined growth strategy
• Full operational process mapping
• Documented operations manual
• Improved role clarity and accountability

Outcomes

Following implementation, the organisation transitioned from informal growth to structured scale.

• Revenue growth from six to seven figures
• Team expansion to 10 employees
• Successful onboarding of new staff supported by documented systems
• Secured multiple contracts
• REC audited education status achieved
• Relocation to a larger office facility

Strategic Impact

The most significant shift was structural. Leadership alignment, documented systems and disciplined execution enabled growth without operational fragility. The organisation moved from opportunistic expansion to coordinated scale, supported by formalised infrastructure and strategic clarity.
